Third Reich Hitler Youth Knife – “Blut und Ehre!” (Blood and Honour) Inscription

This original Third Reich Hitler Youth knife is an iconic example of the edged weapons issued to members of the Hitlerjugend (Hitler Youth) during the 1930s and throughout the Second World War. Carried proudly as a symbol of loyalty and service, the knife embodies the militaristic ideals instilled in Germany’s youth under the National Socialist regime.

The steel blade remains bright and features the deeply etched motto “Blut und Ehre!” – translated as “Blood and Honour” – the rallying cry of the Hitler Youth movement. The inscription retains excellent clarity, with only light age toning consistent with genuine wartime production. The reverse of the blade typically bears the maker’s mark and RZM code, confirming official issue under the Third Reich manufacturing standards.

The hilt retains its nickel-plated fittings and the distinctive chequered black grips inset with the diamond-shaped enamel Hitler Youth emblem, which remains bright and undamaged.
