Description
Deactivated – Japanese Type 94 Nambu Pistol.
The Nambu Type 94 is a compact Japanese semi-automatic pistol introduced in 1934 and used primarily by officers during World War II. It was chambered in 8mm Nambu and had a distinctive, simple blowback action. Notable for its unconventional design, the Type 94 featured a double-action-only mechanism and a safety lever that was prone to accidental disengagement. It was criticized for its unreliable performance and frequent jamming, earning a reputation for being unsafe and ineffective in combat. Despite these issues, around 150,000 units were produced, and it remains infamous in firearms history.
